Wireless Security (wep Vs Wpa)
Now when it comes to setting up the security encryption on your wireless router, it seems that most people are using WEP encryption to protect their network. That used to be sufficiant however now a days WEP encryption is easily broken. Using a piece of software called aircrack-ng and wireless drivers patched for injection it is possible for someone to break your encryption cypher with or without a client having succesfully handshaked with the network. The first method the attacker would use it

Can Someone Get A Rootkit Certified?
It looks like the famous H.D. Moore is trying to get Metasploit Microsoft Certified for Vista in an article at physorg.com (http://www.physorg.com/news93262491.html). Apparently getting your software certified by Microsoft only costs $500 and is somewhat of a conveyer belt mindless system. The problem with this is Vista and XP, if enabled, only allows signed drivers to be installed. I suppose this is nothing new but having a signed driver gives the comfort of legitimacy to the users and

There’s not many times or places in this world where you and your good friends can come together and hack into a network and not get into trouble and at the end of the day be considered somewhat heroes. I had an excellent opportunity this past week to do just that. Once a year there is a software engineering conference that comes to my town. I have participated for the past few years and the absolute highlight is an event call the Digital Combat Exercise (actually if it weren’t for this, I mo

I have just about had it with ZoneAlarm. It interferes with so much neccessary software. I have no doubt that if I just knew what software to make ZoneAlarm ignore it would solve some of my problems. The problem which has me fed up at the moment is my connectivity with Earthlink DSL. When I go long periods without internet traffic, the Earthlink DSL goes into some kind of sleeper mode and the ZoneAlarm prevents the signal that will wake it up again. So I have to shut down ZoneAlam in order

I occasionally take long trips to visit relatives. One of the things that I do to kill time while driving is to listen to audio books. On one five hour trip I started listening to the Hobbit and I was there before I even knew it. I actually wanted to get back in the car and drive another five hours so I could get through the book faster. In the end I have found that I enjoy listening to book much more than actually reading. I suppose I am more auditory oriented plus I like the idea of doing
